The Killers- Human
• The video begins with a dessert focused setting, perhaps indicating the same as on the CD case, where there are hills and land presented. The video is mainly based in a calm setting, signifying the indie genre, as the conventions of indie music are usually tranquil. There are a lot of crane shots, and slow panning around the dessert setting, also suggesting this atmosphere.

• We see the letter ‘K’ which is of the same font and style as The Killer’s logo that is on the CD cover and is an iconic image of the band. The letter is lit up with circular lights.
• Additionally, there are circle lights behind where the band are playing, this accumulates the motif of circles based throughout the whole video and also throughout on the digi-pak.

• Indie videos often have the whole band presented and also instruments, which we are shown several shots of the amplifiers and guitars. We are particularly shown a lot of images of the drum kit, perhaps as they are circle based, such as at 1.26 in the video where there is a close up of the hi-hat , this image is also based in a number of circles that appear on the screen. The camera zooms out and the other symbols are revealed.

• Furthermore, there are pictures from inside the album and from the front of the case, such as at 1.56 and 3.47 where the band are holding pictures of their faces.
  • There are mid shots of Brandon, the lead singer, where there are dissolve shots, and the use of green screen, where we see the dessert setting behind him, then there is a gradual fade to white effect.
  • At the end of the video, around 3.56, we see the moon which is on the CD case of 'Day and Age' . This shot then changes to an image of the album cover.
